We've re-engineered the CoB,O to make it easier and more enjoyable for us (and hopefully you) to visit the site. For awhile, both the old and new pages will run simultaneously, however the "old style" CoB,O won't be updated. Eventually the "old style" will disappear...

You can visit the new CoB,O at http://www.cobo.org/index.php

The following was in today's San Francisco Chronicle (Thanks to John Simpson):

THIS BUFF'S FOR YOU: San Francisco played host to some 5,000 Budweiser distributors at their annual sales convention this week.

The finale was a pep talk by retired Gen. Stormin' Norman Schwarzkopf, but the real Bud Lite highlight was the show by none other than Jimmy Buffett Tuesday night over at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.

And what a show it was, complete with the Budweiser Clydesdales on the outside and a tropical rain forest on the inside.

"A great show and a great time," was how one local attendee summed up the night -- which naturally included all the beer you wanted.

"And by the time Jimmy took the stage, I think everyone in the hall was carrying a six-pack under their arms," the attendee said.

"You know, for a bunch of guys who make a living selling beer, they sure acted like they'd never seen one before."

We couldn't confirm what Buffett was paid -- but sources tell us the check looked like a Lotto jackpot.

And all were congratulating themselves on the perfect night. That is, until about 2:30 in the morning when a city street sweeper snagged one of the event's power cables, whipped it around a light pole -- and set off a tug-of-war that left the pole as twisted and bent as a spoon after dinner with Uri Geller.

Welcome to Margaritaville West, Jimmy -- a place where anything can happen, and usually does.

Tampa, Fla. Feb. 22. 3. $876,230. Jimmy Buffett & the Coral Reefer Band. Charlotte, N.C. Feb. 20. 4. $851,511. Jimmy Buffett & the Coral Reefer Band. Dallas, Texas. Feb. 13.

The San Francisco Chronicle has an interesting interview with Jimmy in Jimmy Buffett Looks at His 50s Singer, author, restaurateur, sailor -- and working on a musical, too. The show Jimmy refers to in the SF Chronicle is for the Budwiser sales distibution force meeting this week. Thanks to Rich McIntosh

An obscure Buffett reference was noticed on yesterday's edition of the TV show "Extra." During an interview with Pat Croce, president of the NBA 76ers, they showed a shot of Pat standing in front of a real Pirates' Chest that he paid $64,000 for at a Christy's auction. He was holding a sword and said something like "Here I am, 200 Years too Late". Thanks to Chris Bodnar
