The October issue of the Parrot Head Webring Newsletter is ready for your reading pleasure.

On this week's episode of the NBC show Emeril, the characters were discussing their costume choices for the Halloween party. Emeril said he was going to wear a Hawaiian shirt and go as Jimmy Buffett. The other characters asked Emeril to sing his version of "Margaritaville," as he had apparently done other years. Emeril replied, "You haven't given me the proper respect." Everyone in the room started chanting, "Jimmy, Jimmy". The show ended with Emeril and another guy singing "Margaritaville." Thanks to Matthew Stiff

The popular back-up goalie for the Boston Bruins, John Grahame, states that if he could spend the day with anyone, living or deceased, it would be Jimmy Buffett, "to hear the stories of a well-traveled man." Thanks to Matty

Buffett was mentioned on the October 25 All Things Considered on NPR. During the "Letters" segment, someone wrote about the location of a Florida restaurant that could be the source of Jimmy Buffett's "Cheeseburger in Paradise" song. As the segment finished, a clip from "Cheeseburgers in Paradise" was played as the show went to the next segment, but you could barely hear it beginning in the background as the announcers gave the email address to write to them.

Plans for Jimmy's second Krispy Kreme restaurant have been put on hold because Paperwork stalls vote on Boynton Krispy Kreme.

Last night on MTV's The Real World, a cast member was getting drunk and looking to screw. They played Jimmy's infamous song, even putting the lyrics up on the screen with a following bouncing ball. Of course,"screw" was bleeped. Thanks to Michael Treacy

Jimmy's Krispy Kreme store in West Palm Beach, previously scheduled to open in November, is not expected to open before mid-January.
