We've re-engineered the CoB,O to make it easier and more enjoyable for us (and hopefully you) to visit the site. For awhile, both the old and new pages will run simultaneously, however the "old style" CoB,O won't be updated. Eventually the "old style" will disappear...

You can visit the new CoB,O at http://www.cobo.org/index.php

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has a small write up on how Parrotheads get their Buffett fix.

This was posted on the Buffett List from today's Congressional Quarterly:

Count one less parrothead in the Republican Party. Before copying songs to a compact disc recently, Republican House Majority Leader Dick Armey, Texas, conscientiously wrote to songwriters asking for permission. Jimmy Buffett turned him down, Armey said, because of "my politics." Armey's reaction? "I'm taking the Buffett for President bumper sticker off my truck and closing down his Texas campaign," he told reporters.

A celebrity sheet music online auction was launched on Yahoo featuring items up for bid autographed by some of the world's most famous artists, songwriters, and composers, including Jimmy Buffett. Proceeds from the auction will benefit City of Hope, the venerable Southern California medical institution committed to battling cancer and a host of other life-threatening diseases. Jimmy's auction closes on November 9. The Songs of Hope Auction is located at: http://auctions.yahoo.com/booth/cityofhopecharity .
