The Today Show has announced their summer concert line up, and Jimmy is NOT listed. Don't know if he'll be added at a later date.

The Upstate Parrot Head Club is hosting its 2nd Annual Island Fever Food & Music Festival on May 19th, in Spartanburg, SC. Proceeds will benefit the South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind and the Special Olympics.

Margaritaville has updated Jimmy's media appearances. CMT will broadcast Jimmy's 1984 ACL appearance this Friday at 9 PM Eastern. Jimmy will be profiled on James Brady's page in this Sunday's Parade Magazine, and he will appear in the May 11-17 edition of TV Guide.

According to Country Music News, 10 years ago today JB held a concert in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to raise money to help separate his Save the Manatees organization from the Florida Audubon Society.

The Palm Beach Post reports that JB is no longer a franchisee for Krispy Kreme (but still is an investor) in Krispy Kreme makes West Palm splash.

The May 16 appearance of the Peter Mayer Group at the Key West Music Festival has been officially cancelled.

According to Margaritaville, the following dates have been added to the tour: September 24 in Portland, OR, and October 1 in Phoenix, AZ. Both on sale dates are to be announced.

The GCC has been updated with 10 new songs.

The Western Massachusetts Parrot Head Club Inc.'s 7th Annual New England PHC Convention "Stars on the Water" in March was a huge success. They raised enough money to grant two children's wishes. The WMPHC Inc. gave the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Western & Central Mass a check in the amount of $12,079.80!

Margaritaville's concert contest this year is the "Parrot Head Costume / Dance Contest." The contest will be held at the plaza stage at each venue with the performing band each night at 7pm. Winners will be selected from a Hokey Pokey competition while being judged on costume and dance creativity. The Coral Reefer Dancers will serve as judges. Those selected each night will join Jimmy on stage during a song.

The Eastern Shore of Virginia Blue Crab Music Fest on July 27, 2002 will include former CRB member Fingers Taylor as well as current Reefer Mike Utley.

The Travel Channel's show "Florida Keys: Unlocking The Mysteries" has a segment on The Blue Heaven Restaurant in Key West, even mentioned the song by Mr. Buffett. It talks about it's AAA restaurant rating, its past as a bordello, the cock fighting it had hosted, along with grave for the former fighting champs and Hemingway's refereed sparring matches. For the week ending March 31, Jimmy's new single, "Savannah Fare You Well", received 32 plays on radio, according to stations monitored by Broadcast Data Systems. Buffett's 25-year-old "Margaritaville" got 391.  Still, Buffett's new album, Far Side of the World, debuted on the Billboard chart at number 5, which was his best showing in six years. Ticketmaster has listed two dates for Irvine Meadows in Irvine, CA: Thursday, October 3, and Saturday, October 5. The on sale date for both is April 22 at 10 AM

Jimmy said last night that he will tour the West Coast in September and early October. His stops should include Portland, Irvine, San Diego, Shoreline in Mountainview, CA, Phoenix, and Hawaii.

The 1978 SNL episode featuring Jimmy is set to be broadcast on E! April 10 at 7:00 pm.
