We've re-engineered the CoB,O to make it easier and more enjoyable for us (and hopefully you) to visit the site. For awhile, both the old and new pages will run simultaneously, however the "old style" CoB,O won't be updated. Eventually the "old style" will disappear...

You can visit the new CoB,O at http://www.cobo.org/index.php

We'd like to remind folks of the 2 talented people who designed logos (quite awhile back) for our shirts and pasta-like items. The stained glass logo was designed by Marti Watt. The praying parrot was designed by Ms. Charley Gingrow, head of the Graphics Department at Tropical Dreams.

Billboard picked up the plane mishap from last week.

Laura Fudacz sent in this report:

Here's a quick recap of Caribbean Night at Comiskey Park in Chicago, Friday, June 7th. For starters, the weather was great! Sunny and mid-70s. Pre-game concert by a local Buffett-style/reggae band called Mr. Myers was in full swing outside the park by the homeplate box office. The first 10,000 or so ticket holders received Sox beach towels upon admission courtesy of Jose Cuervo. Throughout the game, lots of musical video clips in between innings featuring Jimmy in concert, as well as caribbean music from movie scenes such as Beetlejuice, The Mask, etc. A stroll through the outfield concourse in the sixth inning found several flocks local Parrotheads, many in full costume, congregating and congo-lining with Coronas in hand. Post-game included a mini-concert on the field which was kicked off with "A Pirate Looks at Forty" featuring the harmonica accompaniment of Greg "Fingers" Taylor then Mr. Myers took to the stage at homeplate to liven up a crowd of around 20,000 disappointed Sox fans before the fireworks show began. All in all, Caribbean Night was a great idea and seemingly a great success! Let's hope the Sox do it again next year!

Parrotstock 2002 is scheduled to start next week (June 13 - 16). This is very cool-you should consider going if you are within driving distance...

Rolling Stone weighs in on JB's flying:

Maybe Jimmy Buffett should limit his transportation choices to the sailboats he's so fond of singing about. The Mayor of Margaritaville crashed his seaplane through a warning barrier at Palm Beach's airport earlier this week, racking up his third flying incident in less than a decade. Buffett nearly wasted away in 1994, following a crash into Nantucket Harbor, which he managed to swim away from unharmed. Then two years later, he raised the ire of Jamaican authorities, who thought he was a drug smuggler and tried to shoot his craft out of the sky. While he was unhurt this time as well, we'd advise Buffett to search for that lost shaker of salt, but leave the flying to someone else . . .

At AOL Music: Feel the Beat AOL users can vote for the best song ever. Other finalists: American Pie by Don McLean, Piano Man by Billy Joel, Friends in Low Places by Garth Brooks, You've Got A Friend by James Taylor, and Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond.

Congratulations to Andrew Talbert who has had his guest story hour selected to air on RadioMargaritaville on 6/13 and 6/16.
